Cosmetic Tattooing is a multiple-step process, a minimum of two sessions are recommended initially. A perfecting session is required approximately 4-6 weeks following the initial procedure. Note: Lip tattooing may require more than one follow up session. Each session has an additional cost.
There are certain things which will restrict when or if you can have a lip tattoo done. For more information on lip tattooing or to arrange a consultation please contact the clinic directly or book online.

LIP TATTOOING PRE-PROCEDURE ADVICE
Before undergoing cosmetic lip tattooing, please heed the following advice:
  • Do not take Aspirin or Ibuprofen for 2 days before or after the procedure.
  • Do not discontinue any medication before consulting with your doctor.
  • Do not consume alcohol or drugs 24 hours prior to your treatment. Some antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs interact with the tattooing adversely. Please inform our clinic prior to your treatment date as you may need to be cancelled.
  • If you suffer from any nervous or anxiety disorders please consider carefully if this is something for you as the healing process takes up to 6 weeks and can be an anxious wait as the treatment is not perfected until after healing of the touch up.
LIP TATTOOING AFTER PROCEDURE ADVICE
Here’s what you can expect after getting a tattoo for lips:
  • Immediately after the treatment, your lips will be slightly swollen and tender. The colour will appear much darker than the one you chose during the consultation.
  • No hot spicy or citrus food and drinks for next 4 hours. Drinking through a straw is recommended.
  • If you have ever had a cold sore, even only one in your life, you will more than likely breakout. Lysine or Famvir tablets 3-5 days prior and after treatment are recommended. Zovirax cream can also be used.
  • The colour after a few days will be lighter, after 4-6 weeks the true colour will show through.  The colour will look a little different at various times of the day, due to your own skin responses and different lighting will show a slight colour change. Please do not be worried if you lose colour after getting lips tattooed, as you can lose up to 60% the first time.
Lip Blush / Ombré Lip Tattoo
A favourite for women who want their lips to appear more defined without surgery or dermal fillers. It can also be done in conjunction with these procedures.

Whilst the Lip Blush offers lip contour, it's a subtle approach to the full lip tattoo using naturally toned pigments to blend and shade the lip without a border.
With a multitude of different pigment colours to choose from, we can tailor mix your dream lip shade, however we do recommend bringing along your favourite lippy colour so we can try to match. This look lets you get away with not having to apply lipstick at all. Simply apply your favourite clear gloss or balm for added sheen.

Lip Liner Tattoo

Lip Liner cosmetic tattoo can add colour tone to your existing lip border. Pigment colours can be matched with your own natural lip colour or slightly darker to strengthen the border.

Thin lips can have volume added to them by receiving Lip liner Tattoo, crooked lips can be balanced out with a Lip liner tattoo. A very popular procedure, looks fabulous with your own lipstick, gorgeous with a sheer Lip Gloss or just on its own for those days you do not want to wear any makeup at all.

PLEASE NOTE: CONSULTATIONS ARE COMPULSORY PRIOR TO ANY COSMETIC TATTOO PROCEDURE. A FACE-TO-FACE OR PHOTO CONSULTATION ALLOWS US TO ASSESS ALL FACTORS BEFORE DETERMINING IF YOU ARE A SUITABLE CANDIDATE TO HAVE THE PROCEDURE DONE.
